Cycle Station Brings Hoy Bikes to Ayrshire – Inspiring Young Riders Across the Region

Darvel, Ayrshire – 7 August 2025 – Cycle Station, Ayrshire’s leading not-for-profit cycling hub, is excited to announce the arrival of Hoy Bikes, a premium range of children’s bikes created by Olympic Gold Medallist legend Sir Chris Hoy, now available for pre-order from its base in Darvel.

Built with lightweight frames, quality components and a rider first design, Hoy Bikes are ideal for young people taking their first steps into cycling or progressing to more confident riding. With options for all ages and abilities, the range supports Cycle Station’s mission to make cycling more accessible, inclusive, and fun for families across Ayrshire.

“We’re delighted to launch Hoy Bikes here in Ayrshire,” said Alan Vass, Director of Operations at Cycle Station. “These bikes are designed to empower children and give them the best possible start on two wheels. Partnering with a brand that shares our passion for getting people cycling is a perfect fit.”

The bikes are available now for pre-order with stock becoming available in September 2025 at Cycle Station’s Darvel workshop, with models including balance bikes for toddlers and lightweight geared bikes with disc brakes for older children. The launch strengthens Cycle Station’s commitment to offering high-quality, affordable bikes alongside expert support and repairs.

As a social enterprise, Cycle Station reinvests all profits into local cycling initiatives, education programmes, and recycling projects that benefit communities across Ayrshire and beyond.
